Business Analyst / PMO - Banking Transformation Project (Remote, UK)

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Business Analyst / PMO to support our Banking Transformation Project, which includes 12 functional modules. This is a key role within the project team, focused on supporting and documenting activities in the Solution Analysis and Design Phase, as well as the Testing Phase. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Solution Analysis and Design Support:

    • Assist in documenting business requirements, functional designs, and solution analysis.

    • Support the development of functional specifications and traceability documents.

    • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are well-understood and captured accurately.

  • Test Case Writing and Documentation:

    • Create, maintain, and organise test cases in line with the solution design and requirements.

    • Ensure that test cases are detailed, accurate, and traceable to business requirements and functional designs.

    • Review test cases with relevant stakeholders to ensure coverage and completeness.

  • Testing Support:

    • Coordinate and execute testing phases, ensuring all necessary tests are conducted and documented properly.

    • Track test execution progress, logging defects, and ensuring issues are documented and followed up.

    • Collaborate with the testing team to ensure tests align with project goals and meet the required quality standards.

  • Project Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to all stakeholders.

    • Prepare progress reports, highlighting key deliverables, risks, and issues related to the analysis, design, and testing phases.

    • Support project managers with data analysis, status tracking, and preparing meeting materials.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders, including business users and developers.

    • Ensure all project-related communications are concise, professional, and clear.

    • Assist in the facilitation of meetings, documenting key outcomes and action items.

Skills and Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in banking or technology-related projects.

    • Familiarity with the banking industry and/or financial products is highly desirable.

    • Experience with solution analysis, design documentation, and test case writing is an advantage.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of banking applications, business processes, and project management methodologies.

    • Basic understanding of software development lifecycles and testing processes.

    • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Competencies:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly grasp new concepts.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

    • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

    • Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Additional Information

  • This is a fix engagement of 4 month with option to become permanent afterwards.

Working location requirements

This is a fully remote role, but the candidate must be based in the United Kingdom and able to work during set working hours.
