Senior Information Security & Audit Manager

The company is now expanding in the coming months and years to locations in Europe including London, Frankfurt, and Playa del Carmen Mexico. This will allow us to provide on-site expert support from a team of specialists.
Purpose
The Information Security & Audit Manager develops and markets Information Security services for our clients.
liaises with clients to negotiate contract terms and budget.
supervises Information Security projects.
leads forensics investigation services.
recommends controls/ enhancements to improve the organisation’s information security setup.
reviews and communicates with the client on findings and
recommendations for the Information Security services provided.
reports directly to the partners.
Your Main Responsibilitiess
Lead strategic initiatives and information security related projects/programmes; deliver to agreed timelines, budget, and quality.
Facilitate large scale / complex software development or strategic business project, by breaking down the business goal into manageable deliverables / phases and mapping out tasks and planning associated.
Expert in modern security software, protocols, practices, and regulations.
Maintain and continuously improve existing security certifications, such as (but not limited to) CISA, CISM.
Lead audit-related activities and Cyber Essentials audits for Ayaval internationally.
Manage remediation of gaps and nonconformities identified within audits.
Responsible for meeting agreed sales targets through effective planning and budgeting.
Build up and lead a team of IT Security professionals to meet customer demands and Ayaval sales goals.
Understand and be able to document business concepts and functions contextually and quickly.
Work with the client to evaluate and prioritize projects / enhancements based on business risk and financial / cost impact.
Coordinate IT and management resources from Ayaval and/or clients to assign and track tasks and deliverables.
Evaluate and escalate risk, as relates to project deliverables, timing, issues, resources, etc.
Proactively communicate with the client and Ayaval management to report upon status and solicit project feedback and concerns.
Demonstrate solid communication, issue management, and coordination skills.
Demonstrate ability to act as trusted advisor internally and externally (clients).
Demonstrate ability to adjust project management style and approach based on project scope / client.
Collaborate with global and regional expert groups and authorities to transform early ideas, or required regulatory responses, into tangible outcomes.
Bring together, lead and motivate cross functional teams to deliver under a suitable governance. Play a leading role on complex problem solving, with small expert groups.
Build and share expertise on new and evolving topics – digitalisation, regulatory transformation, or operational efficiency.
Support other members of the team and contribute to future stages of our growth
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Certificates in Cybersecurity & IT Risk, data, and IT security
Competencies & Experience
Required
10+ years’ experience of leading an IT team with > 10 employees.
5+ years’ experience in IT Security and Audit service industry.
5+ years’ in working knowledge/experience of performing and reviewing vulnerability & Risk assessments; penetration testing or cyber forensic analyses.
5+ years’ experience in securing physical & virtualized environments server to endpoint inc. hardening, patching, monitoring, logging & alerting.
5+ years’ experience in data security posture design and implementation including DLP, information governance, identity, and access management etc.
5+ years knowledge/working experience in managing data protection assessments.
Awareness of Cloud Native Technologies & best practices, Azure Well Architected Framework & cloud migration strategies to ensure Security by Design.
Be able to manage yours and your team’s time, balancing working effectively and efficiently on your own, and contributing as part of a wider team - prioritising and recognising when to escalate to management.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to question the accuracy of information.
Enjoy helping people with problem-solving, customer service outlook - working with business teams to achieve positive outcome.
Strong communication skills to assist, inform, and build relationships with stakeholders in both the business and support teams, to enable effective information security activities and processes aligned to the firm’s security strategy.
Experience as a technical & people leader, decision maker & implementor.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
